The Radium SmartChain is a software suite that brings extended functionality to the Radium Core block-chain. based identity management to the everyday user. It allows for the creation and management of digital identity that can then be used to digitally sign files and text. These unalterable digital signatures are recorded in the Radium Core block-chain, and can be used to prove authenticity, ownership, or possession of a file at a particular point in time. A digital identity is created by pairing a username and other optional demographic data with a Radium Core public key, and recording that paring block-chain. The identity becomes publicly visible, and actions taken on behalf of that identity are validated using asymmetric key signing. Users can request that their Identity be verified by a third party who holds a verification key. Requests for Identity verification should be made to JJ12880, tm2013, Alaniz, or any other member of the development team. Verification is designed to provide confidence in user accounts, and prevent scamming from accounts with misleading usernames. In order to become verified, a user must prove their identity through an outside medium, such as through Telegram, Bitcointalk or other social media. Just like humans have unique fingerprints, digital files also have unique fingerprints called a hash. File hashes are generated by passing a file through a cryptographic hashing function. Using a digital identity, a user can sign a file hash, and create a public, permanent, and time-stamped record in the Radium Blockchain. This serves as a permanent record, and allows other users to check the authenticity of a file by looking up its hash and associated signatures that were previously recorded in the blockchain.

The Radium SmartChain is both a software and a protocol under development by JJ12880 for expanding the functionality of the Radium blockchain. The Radium SmartChain software connects to the standard Radium wallet via RPC. The first beta release is scheduled for the first half of January 2016. The Radium SmartChain is a combination of several new protocols which provide the framework for the development of advanced blockchain based functions. All functions are 100% distributed and do not rely on centralized servers or infrastructure. Included in the framework is the new 'Proof-Of-Contribution' protocol, a custom implementation of 'Smart Transactions', and the 'Radon' asset that is generated through 'SlowDecay". Each of these individual components are explained in more detail below. User accounts are created when an Radium address is paired with a username and an optional memo line, and the pairing is recorded in the blockchain. Usernames and memos can consist of any combination of English upper and lower case letters and numbers. Once a username is recorded in the blockchain, the username can be used instead of the difficult to remember Radium address. Users can request that their accounts be verified by a third party who holds a verification key. Currently, only JJ12880 holds a verification keys, however keys will be issued to senior community members as the system expands. The QoS addons for IPCop are advanced traffic shaping addons to the popular IPCop firewall. Maintained as GPL/Creative Commons Open Source projects by Markus Hoffmann. There are currently two QoS packages being maintained, using two different packet scheduling protocols; HTB and HTSC. Quality of Service (QoS) is a term used to all the different modules that make up traffic shaping. QoS is an attempt to bring all these different programs and protocols together to give priority to network traffic that is time dependent, like VoIP and online games, over less time critical data transfers such as P2P or FTP traffic. If it does it well, then you can have a conversation using VoIP while downloading/uploading large files without delay or gaps in the voice call. There are two versions of the Advanced QoS Addon: Ceilburst: Amount of bytes that can be burst at 'infinite' speed, in other words, as fast as the interface can transmit them. For perfect evening out, should be equal to at most one average packet. Should be at least as high as the highest cburst of all children. Both values could be empty because they will be computed automatically.
