Electrical Engineering Training

Signals and Systems

About

This course is about the study of engineering signals and systems, from a discipline-neutral approach. It is a fundamental starting point in the field of engineering, and serves as the basic material that other advanced books in the engineering subject area are based. This course looks at the concepts of systems, serving as an introduction to systems theory. Also, This course examines signals, and the way that signals interact with physical systems. While This course strives to be discipline-neutral, it currently is focused strongly on electrical engineering concepts. It is hoped that This course will be expanded to include information from other disciplines as well.

Energy Efficiency Reference

About

Welcome to the Energy Efficiency Reference! This reference will house extensive technical information on how to evaluate energy savings, especially in the industrial setting. The main source of information is the Dept of Energy's Industrial Assessment Center program that has 20+ years of developing energy audit reports and thesis papers. These documents are currently housed in various digital formats on local drives as well as on paper. The reasoning behind developing the reference was to open this vast knowledge base to the public, particularly to industry. Currently, there are 25 IACs at other universities that will hopefully act as contributors to the Wikibook, with 2 other universities working with us already.

Signal Processing

About

This course is about the topic of signal processing, especially the topics of signal analysis and filtering. We will cover advanced filter theories, including adaptive Wiener and Kalman filters, stationary and non-stationary signals, beamforming, and wavelet analysis. This course requires all readers to have a solid foundational understanding of the topics covered in Signals and Systems. Readers should also have a good understanding of advanced calculus, including topics covered in Engineering Analysis.

Digital Integrated Circuits

About

Digital integrated circuits represent the practical side of digital electronics - digital functions are constructed using analogue technologies such as doped silicon. This complicates the previously neat digital technologies that are divorced from the real world. this course deals with the design of digital integrated circuits, their manufacture and techniques to optimise performance. the course is being organized such that it will be useful for people who know 'what is MOS' and nothing more. Fabrication section is not important for people who wants to learn design.

MyHDL and the NEXYS 2 Board

About

This course is about MyHDL and the NEXYS 2 board. MyHDL is a Python system for designing digital logic circuits in the Python language. The NEXYS 2 board, manufactured by Digilent Inc., is a prototyping board for Xilinx FPGAs (field programmable gate arrays). If you have some experience with the Python language and an interest in digital logic design, these two tools make a handy combination. Then there should be a series of practical projects, generating video signals, building digital models of Moog-style analog music synthesizers, and a software-defined radio using the AD1 daughterboard, preceded by some sort of downconverter. If the SDR is baseband (AM radio and shortwave) then maybe you don't need a downconverter, But I'm not sure the AD1 is fast enough for shortwave frequencies. The video generator could be something interesting like a videogame or an animation system.

Understanding Multitouch

About

Multitouch computer interfaces are a curiosity currently explored by many hardware manufacturers and home experimenters. Products like the iPhone and the Microsoft Surface will bring the technology to a whole new group of users in the upcoming years, and in order to get ahead of the curve and understand how this technology works, we will look into its internals here, and describe how it works in detail. This course will require that you have at least a rudimentary understanding of signal processing, and are competent in a programming language of your choice. This course will use pseudo-code to describe all of the algorithms and processes necessary to understand how this technology works, but to make it useful you will need to implement it in your own language. To do the image processing components, you will need a digital web camera or a multi-touch surface of your own devising (for the fearless). We will try to stay away from the mathematical descriptions of the algorithms whenever possible, as the pseudocode should be easier to understand from a programmer's/implementer's point of view.

Electrickery

About

Electrickery is intended to be a lighthearted introduction to the practice of electronics. While electrical theory is covered more than adequately in other works, this exists to entice the novice experimenter to jump right in. The principles of electronics will be introduced by means of application, in the hopes that the experimenter may desire to learn more. This course is very much inspired by the "Funway Into Electronics" publications, which took a similar approach to teaching a generation of tinkerers how to build their own gadgets, and in so doing, instilled a passion for hacking in many. Diagrams in This course are generated using the gEDA suite of electronic design tools, Breadboard diagrams are generated using Fritzing, and the text is written in British English. If you want to screw around and make visibly satisfying things happen in a relatively short time, this is a good resource to run through before committing to more rigorous study of Electronics. Electrickery is subdivided into Projects. While one needn't necessarily complete them in order, doing so may prove beneficial.

Circuit Theory

About

Most of electrical engineering was invented by 1925, reduced to practice by 1935, and mathematically analyzed and scientifically understood by 1945. So what makes This course different? Symbolic computation programs such as MATLAB, MuPAD, and Mathematica eliminate calculators and time consuming math. Cloud computing at sites like Circuit Lab make simulation possible on a cell phone. This leaves room for more material to be covered at greater depth. This Course The 1st and 2nd order differential equations can be solved with Euler's equation (phasors) and calculus. This solution technique is compared with Laplace transforms. The course builds on Kirchhoff's laws to write differential equations using transfer functions. The particular solution reduces to a final condition if sources are replaced with a unit step function. All that needs to be calculated is the homogeneous step response. Then response to any complex voltage or current source can then be found through the convolution integral. Requirements This course will expect the reader to have a firm understanding of Calculus specifically, and will not stop to explain the fundamental topics in Calculus. This course shows where Laplace transforms provide an alternative solution, but only in a few examples in parallel with phasor solutions.

Is learning Electrical Engineering hard?

In the field of Electrical Engineering learning from a live instructor-led and hand-on training courses would make a big difference as compared with watching a video learning materials. Participants must maintain focus and interact with the trainer for questions and concerns. In Qwikcourse, trainers and participants uses DaDesktop , a cloud desktop environment designed for instructors and students who wish to carry out interactive, hands-on training from distant physical locations.

Is Electrical Engineering a good field?

For now, there are tremendous work opportunities for various IT fields. Most of the courses in Electrical Engineering is a great source of IT learning with hands-on training and experience which could be a great contribution to your portfolio.
